More than Just Another Hunting Lodge
Although we have 1200 acres of Alabama Treasured Forest and outstanding accommodations, we are dedicated to being more than just another hunting lodge. We want to help people build a relationship with Christ.
We would love to host you, your buddies, a group of youth, your Church’s Mens Ministry/Women's Ministry, etc. for a time of fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth in God’s Great Outdoors.
There's nothing like spending time with friends and family and we offer several ways to make meaningful memories and lasting bonds.
Whitetail Hunts
In the Fall, our planted wheat, oats, rye and clover attract and hold a multitude of trophy bucks. A variety of stand types offer possibilities for bowhunters and rifle hunters alike. We offer a variety of packages, including meals, lodging, and experienced guides. All hunts are considered trophy hunts. Each hunter is allowed one buck eight points or better with a minimum 14” spread, as well as, three does per three day hunt.
Turkey Hunts
Turkey is one of the most challenging game birds to hunt, but OTOM's experienced guides are very skilled callers and tacticians who are focused on your success. We truly offer a world-class hunt. Planted crimson clover attract the turkey, but the deeper, more natural attraction lies in the land itself. Our turkey hunts can be with or without a guide and each hunter is allowed two mature gobblers per three day hunt.
Quail Hunts
In some areas of the property, the trees have been thinned for bobwhite quail. Egyptian wheat, brown top, pearl millet, bi color lespedeza and grain sorghum are planted in late Summer and early Fall to prepare for a good bird hunting season. Our kennels afford man's best friend an enjoyable rest after a hard days work. Covered kennels with concrete floors offer a washout system, automatic waterers, dog houses and feeders with a separate large, shaded dog run. Bring your own well mannered dogs or let the guides at OTOM use the top-notch facility dogs. Our quail hunts are a traditional Southern-style quail hunt accommodating both small and large groups. Half-day hunts include 12 quail per hunter and full-day hunts include up to 24 quail per hunter.
Retreats
We'd love to host Pastoral, Deacon or Elder Retreats as well as your Church's Men's or Women's Ministry. Your group can hunt, fish or just enjoy time in God's great outdoors. We'll work with you to tailor a time spent in God's word that is always centered around His creation, His love for you and your love of the outdoors.
Youth Camps
Our youth camps take on a variety of forms. Some camps focus primarily on introducing the outdoors to youth who have limited resources and access to positive outdoor experiences. Other camps take youth through specific outdoor activities such as hunting or fishing. All camps include Christ-centered devotionals which tie creation to the Creator.
Guest Speaker
If you've ever spent a few minutes with Tim Smith, you know God has equipped him as a natural story teller. Though he is gifted with good ole boy humor and thrives on poking fun at himself as "a proud product of the Alabama Public School System", His love for Christ is serious and he holds a Master's of Religion with Cum Laude distinction from Liberty University and Seminary. Now that Tim is transitioning from a 22-year career in the Air Force, God has chosen to ordain him as a pastor, but not necessarily one who stands behind a pulpit each week. The message God has given Tim is clear...help men realize that the outdoors and their passion for it...is a gift from God. He'd love to come share this message with your church or men's ministry.
Wild Game Dinners/Mens Ministry Events
We are available to serve as lead agent partnering with congregations and other organizations to organize and host events focused on evangelizing to the outdoor enthusiast.
